Behind The Smiles

Experienced Expertise. Compassionate Care. Personal Attention.

Michael Pollowitz, DDS

“I’ve been doing this for over thirty years, and the thing that still gets me is the real relationships I’ve built with my patients. I get to see patients who came in as kids and are now bringing their own kids. It’s still my favorite part of dentistry.”

Karishma Sheth, DMD

“I had a terrible dental experience as a kid which led to serious dental anxiety. I became a dentist to make sure fear never stops someone from getting the care they deserve. Now, I help my patients feel comfortable and safe during every visit.”

From the beginning

Dr. Karishma Sheth knows exactly what it’s like to dread the dentist. She had a traumatic dental experience as a child that made appointments feel impossible. She was determined to change the experience for others and became the dentist she never had.

Outside the office, Dr. Sheth is most likely researching her next travel destination, experimenting in the kitchen, or spending time with her husband and other loved ones. She has a deep appreciation for different cultures and believes some of life’s best memories are created around a shared meal and great company.

Experience and expertise

Dr. Sheth grew up in India, then attended the University of Pennsylvania for her undergraduate degree. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh. After gaining early clinical experience in Florida, she made her way to Washington, DC. She specializes in clear aligner therapy and is one of the few area dentists offering prepless veneers as a conservative smile makeover solution. Combining advanced digital dentistry and an artistic eye, she creates naturally stunning smiles that last. She believes that when patients feel safe and supported, they’re confident enough to get the care they truly deserve.
